Today, I Am Ready to Move On

Click is a heartwarming movie that inspired me to rearrange my list of priorities. I came to a realization that I value the less important things in life. This will aid my soul searching activities. Whoever is reading this, I am advising you to watch the movie and hopefully it will move you as well.

My Quote for this day by yours truly:

I have sojourned in this melancholy memory but today, it’s time for me to move on

My Line for this day by The Verve:

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life... I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind , I feel free now ...

Before It's Too Late

Goo Goo Dolls
have this amazing talent on writing good music with a good message. They have a couple of notable songs in their past albums. Most have been a hit especially the ones that were included in movies.

I am currently in love with their song Before It's Too Late.

You can't just wait for miracles to fly straight to you.
You must look for it. Let the world know that you want it.
Grab every opportunity that life has to give.
Take Risks
Before it's too late.

Here is the lyrics of the song:

Before It's Too Late by Goo Goo Dolls

I wondered through fiction to look for the truth
Buried beneath all the lies
And I stood at a distance
To feel who you are
Hiding myself in your eyes

And hold on before it's too late
Until we leave this behind
Don't fall just be who you are
It's all that we need in our lives

And the risk that might break you
Is the one that would save
A life you dont live is still lost
So stand on the edge with me
Hold back your fear and see
Nothing is real til it's gone

And hold on before its too late
Until we leave this behind
Don't fall just be who you are

It's all that we need in our lives

So live like you mean it
Love til you feel it
It's all that we need in our lives
So stand on the edge with me
Hold back your fear and see
Nothing is real til it's gone

Hold on before its too late
Until we leave this behind
Don't fall just be who you are
It's all that we need in our lives

Hold on before its too late
Until we leave this behind
Don't fall just be who you are
It's all that we need in our lives

It's all that we need in our lives
It's all that I need in my life

I do not use any software in downloading songs anymore for the reason that I need to avoid that irritating Trojan virus. So I resulted to a different way to get songs. I found this website that converts media files into any format. What I do is I search in youtube.com and paste the url and convert it to an mp3 format. The best thing is that I would get to have an inspection of the quality of the sound unlike in some downloading softwares. Try it! It’s safer and faster.

Light in The Darkness

We were attending mass then suddenly the lights turned off. There was a black out. The celebration still continued despite the circumstance. The bulbs where replaced by the candles and the choir still continued singing a lovely song. The place actually looked so serene. It was a wonderful sight.

Lesson I learned: Sometimes, we need darkness to see the light in our lives.

Grey's Anatomy

What do you like most about this show aside from the soundtrack? Of course! The lines that make up the show. The introduction for each show is perfectly made for the conclusion lines. This show is so addictive that I would by DVDs of it and just lock myself in the room and watch for the whole day. Grey’s Anatomy has shared to me how people should look at life in various perspectives. I have learned new ways to survive every day. It’s actually good to find out that people can relate to it and you are not a lon in this world.

Here are some of the quotes that struck me. What’s yours?

Dr. Meredith Grey: The key to surviving a surgical internship is denial. We deny that we're tired, we deny that we're scared, we deny how badly we want to succeed. And most importantly, we deny that we're in denial. We only see what we want to see and believe what we want to believe, and it works. We lie to ourselves so much that after a while the lies start to seem like the truth. We deny so much that we can't recognize the truth right in front of our faces.

Dr. Meredith Grey: At the end of the day, there are some things you just can't help but talk about. Some things we just don't want to hear, and some things we say because we can't be silent any longer. Some things are more than what you say, they're what you do. Some things you say cause there's no other choice. Some things you keep to yourself. And not too often, but every now and then, some things simply speak for themselves.

Dr. Meredith Grey: Maybe we're not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes to simply be human. Maybe, we're thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we're thankful for the things we'll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.

Do I Hear Gossip?

Gossip Girl Series is the in thing right now with my circle of friends. It’s the new The OC. The story and the characters in the tv show are different compared to the books. I would say that the way they changed it is just enough. The story was more spiced up and made it more interesting that most are being hooked to it. But what I like about the most in the show is the music. The compilation of the music is definitely perfect to the story line. Before I forget, I would give five stars to the wardrobe stylist of the show. The clothes chosen for the show for the characters were undoubtedly identical to what the author described in the books. I cannot wait to watch the rest of the episode.

You know you love me. Xoxo

I Met an Angel On Earth

I am so thankful for bumping into an Angel today.

There I was, walking in the streets then a stranger called my attention. I was surprised to see my wallet in his hand. My first thought was that the man stole it from my bag. I just stared at him. Then he asked, “Is this yours?” My heart returned to its original pumping pace and I was relieved to hear it from the stranger. I have realized that there are still kind-hearted people in the world. I will have to pay forward what he has done for me. You have any ideas?

I Love You CTS!

Oh Boy, I love you I love you I love you!

He has been clouding my mind lately! He is like the epitome of my being. My taste buds go excited whenever we are together. Oh! You are my McDreamy!!!! I am very much in love with you right now! I would do anything just to be with you…..Forever!

Are you wondering who the heck is CTS? Well, it’s none other than Chicken Tender Sandwich!

How about you? What is your favorite fast food?

For the past couple of days, I have been noticed my increase food intake. It’s an undeniable fact that I have been excessively eating and this is not a healthy routine. Most of my friends who saw me last weekend told me that I have been getting thinner and thinner every time they see me but the pictures do not agree with them. By the way, I don’t target an anorexic look I just want to eat healthy and look healthy to feel healthy!!!

Isn’t it ironic? I have been talking about my favorite fast food and here I go talking about eating healthy. But you know what? It’s all about balance! It is the key to eating healthy. It is the key to almost everything in life.

I guess I’ll have to say goodbye to CTS for a moment….or maybe just a little moment. Haha! I will have to balance my eating habits and I invite everyone to do the same!

I Hate It...

I Hate It..

When Men Pee in Public

I still don’t get it why Men pee on walls. Isn’t that totally disgusting? Okay that last line made me seem like I am a total ditz – I am not! It’s just inappropriate for people to do such a thing. When they do that, they just level down to animals. Public bathrooms were made to be used. Toilets were invented to avoid such thing.

When people Vandalize

What is the point of writing on walls? If the answer is just for a outlet of feelings, it can be done in so many ways without damaging or making walls an eye sore.

When trash is not disposed properly

What’s so hard in throwing your garbage in the bin? Or keeping it inside your pocket until you see one? Some people are just so selfish and undisciplined. Don’t complain if you think Mother Nature is fighting back. It’s all your fault,,mr./ms. garbage-thrower-in-public-places!

When Pervs are on action

Have you experienced walking down the street, wearing decent clothes, when suddenly someone calls you some stupid name, whistles at you, or give you some look a pervert would do? People should learn to respect if they want the same thing for them. I also heard that there is a law against that. If someone perverted did the same too, scare him! If all people would learn how to respect, this would be a better world!

When people judge you on what you wear

There was this day when I decided to wear stockings with shorts. I passed by a group of people and they gave me a stern look. To think that I was dressed creatively and not provocatively! I heard one of them saying “Feeling Model!” Oh ‘cmon! Haven’t you heard freedom of expression? When you think about it, there is no standard on what to wear and what looks good together. I hope people would respect others on how they dress even if it is different from theirs. See! It all boils down to R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

I love her!

Have you heard of some talented people from youtube that became famous? Here is one of them. This is Marie Digby. She plays the guitar and piano. She also has a lovely voice. http://youtube.com/user/MarieDigby I enjoyed listening to her. She has cover songs that she recorded after listening to the original songs only a couple of times. She studies music only by listening to it and not looking for the tabs and chords. She also recorded some of her original songs. My favorite one is Ugly Betty. Prepare yourself to be amazed!

Oh Boredom, what will I do to you?

I have been idle for a couple of hours, going up and down the stairs, and thinking of what I will do next. I just finished one book, played pin ball, watched half of a dvd, and tried to inspire myself for art. Still, I am left with the feeling of boredom. This can be blamed to the lack of internet connection (I am writing this in the Microsoft word since I have no internet yet). According to the internet provider employee, they are undergoing some sort of upgrading thingie in their company. Some subscribers have internet already. How come mine’s still not working?

Uhm. Let’s see. I’ll try to make a list of things that I can do when I am bored. This might make me think of something new to fight boredom.

Read

Surf the internet (this is impossible for me right now)

Watch Dvds

Make something Artsy Fartsy-Related

Fix Room

Watch TV

Go out

I still haven’t thought of anything new. I know one thing for sure, that I want to have an internet connection! I’m sure that I will never run out of things to do then.

Hello, Sunshine!

Smooth air entered into my lungs as I opened my eyes this morning. Inside my head, I was shouting: “This is going to be a good day!” Unlike before, every time I wake up, a rush of heavy thoughts come to me but it was different a while ago. Thoughts of gratitude and happiness filled me and so did the feeling of it followed right after! I watched a movie two days ago that made me inspired (I will blog about this later on). This day will be a day of reflection and studying for my Zoology Exam tomorrow. I am looking forward for this day.

I just want to list down the first 5 things that popped out of my mind that I am gratitude about:

  1. Morning Air
  2. Having my own Cellphone
  3. Chicken Nuggets
  4. Being able to have a good sleep
  5. Feeling Good
Hey Mr/Ms Today, I welcome you with Happiness and a Smile in my heart! Thank you for giving me such a wonderful life!

Work Load

I woke up yesterday having thought that it was already a Sunday when in fact it was only Tuesday. This thinking was brought by a very tiring Monday that it felt like a whole week has passed by already. My shoulders were aching like hell because I had to carry around this heavy laptop to school for this English thesis. My ranting doesn’t end in here.

Zoology class is like torture! It has the most requirements this week! I have to draw different systems from digestive to muscular with labels and functions! Oh great! Can you smell the sarcasm?

But then after some contemplating, I realized that this is what life has to offer me! If I do not have those tasks at hand, then what am I supposed to do anyway? This is my role as of this moment – I am a student. So there is really no room for all those complaints.

If those things are not given, then all I have left to do is just go around the mall, and around and around until I memorize all the shops and what they sell inside. If home works will not be given, I am left with an option to just lie down, relax and do nothing at all. Hey! Don’t get me wrong, I like doing those things but just once in a while.

Little did I know before this that I truly like being busy. I like seeing my checklist full of jobs to do. Adrenaline rush keeps me going! I like feeling that kind of rush inside my body! It makes life more exciting! Then you lie down at the end of the day having a feeling of fulfillment!

Welcome, Busy Schedule! Thanks for visiting me again!

Welcome Year 2008

Resolutions. These are the ones we always hear at the start of a year. For me, no matter what the time is, we can set goals at anytime of the year. It just so happens that the start of the year has this feeling of having a new beginning, having a fresh start that is why most make their vows at this time of the year. There is always a room for improvement.

This is a list of things I want to accomplish this year (the list may be edited as time goes by):

  • I want to have a healthy looking hair.
  • I must have clean and polished nails at all times.
  • Wear my best smile as much as possible.
  • Improve my very bad posture.
  • Drink more than 8 glasses of water a day.
  • Exercise daily.
  • When dressing up, I must do my best, look my best.
  • Have a healthy skin.

If you have noticed those promises written above may seem to be shallow. All of them cover the only for the physical attributes of a person. What I am going to write next is something I have to reflect upon since it has something to do with my inner self. Be prepared for a little bit of drama. I am warning you!

One word to describe 2007 for me is Roller coaster. The past year was the most difficult year for me so far. It opened me to events that I never really imagined that would happen to me. The preceding period rolled me and smashed me into pieces just like a ceramic ball. I have been hurt a lot of times. This was the year that I experienced a lot of my first. I am going to admit that indeed I had fun but nonetheless the exasperation in spite of everything surfaced up. There was a time of year that I was so angry to everything and everyone because I don’t really know to whom I should be mad at. There was a turning point that I was blaming the Man up there.

After some time, I have grasped the message that He wanted me to understand. It was up to me on how I would look at things. I can cry to let things out but I should not let it be that way. I can have my outlet but then I need to look at things and tell myself to stop crying and to move on. Weeping alone won’t lead me anywhere good. Hey, you can cry all day but wipe those tears and stand up tomorrow!

Getting up once more… This is a phrase that would describe how I look at year 2008. For some reasons, I feel good about this year. I have a positive feeling that this would be a lot better than 2007. Say goodbye to 2007 and hello to 2008! This doesn’t mean that I will leave everything in 2007, I would use everything I experienced and learned from the past year and use them to improve during the present year.

1. Improve thy attitude!

This may be small issue to others but I find cursing not really useful to our daily life. Those words should not be remembered again. I have been kind of a stuck-up during the latter part of the previous year. Some may be jokes but I think most of the comments that I have given were pretty harsh. This is also something I should work on.

2. Work on relationships

This year I want to make sure that I will be a better daughter and a better sister. Another relationship that I should work on is with my friends. I am not the cheesy thoughtful type of a friend but I must make sure that I let them feel how much I appreciate them. I nearly lost another relationship of mine. One that used to be so strong and I am willing t get it back. I am very sorry Lord but I am coming back. I’m coming back to the heart of worship.

3. Focus on my ambition

I must widen my vocabulary. I have so much to learn. One activity that I can do to improve on this is to read and write…I have to take note of my goals in my head at all times. All hard work today would pay off in the end. I should remember this: Work before play!

4. Think Positive!

When you think about it, there is no need for people to complain because the truth is we are so blessed. We have more than what we need. Our blessing exceeded the rim of the glass already. I am going to share to you a site at the bottom of this entry that has something to with this. I am inviting you to join and spread the word. The less we complain the better we feel about ourselves and the better persons we turn out to be and this equation is equal to a better world.

The list was long. It is impossible for one to change in just one day. I know that it will take time but I have the whole 2008 for it. The tip is to think first before I say or do something. In that way, I would avoid breaking these resolutions of mine. I will take this one step at a time and when I make another set of resolutions I will look back at this entry and smile for what I have accomplished.

Here is the link for this post:

I have mentioned above that the site I am going to share with you has something to do with lessening our complaints. This is what is written in their website:

Change Your Words, Transform Your Life

Your thoughts create your world and your words indicate your thoughts. When you eliminate complaining from your life you will enjoy happier relationships, better health and greater prosperity. This simple program helps you set a trap for your own negativity and redirect your mind towards a more positive and rewarding life.

A Complaint Free World, inc. is a non-profit, non-religious entity which provides purple bracelets and other materials to help people affect positive change in their lives. We are in the process of creating additional programs for adults and children which support our mission and vision of creating a world of positive cooperation.

I am going to start this no-complaining-for 21-days Routine. It takes 21 days to form a new habit meaning, if we exceed 21 days without complaining, you will have a complaint free life and if we spread the word to everyone else we would have a complaint free world. Join me as I take this journey of mine.

Year End Survey for 2007

Where did you begin 2007?
This really made me think because for some reasons I don't remember how I spent the first few hours of 2007. But then after a while I realized why I didn't get the answer out of my head right away because I actually spent it in my room, sleeping.

What was your status on Valentine's Day?
Single of course. I still cannot imagine myself in a serious relationship. I remember being in charge of this activity in school wherein we accept deliveries of chocolates and flowers to students in their classrooms.

Did you have to go to the hospital?
No. Thank God not. Wait. I remember going to a hospital inside a university that I was supposed to go into. Being in that campus made me all sentimental again. That visit made me feel how much I wanted to go there badly. This only shows how life can give you full of surprises.

Where did you go on vacation?
Summer of 2007 was the last vacation I had as a "kid." Our motto was to make the most out of this summer since it was our last summer as carefree teenagers (teenage years before college). I practically spent a lot of my time outside the house.

Did you move anywhere?
Our high school graduation happened on March 31, 2007. I entered college at June. I moved to a different school - to a school which I never really expected to be into.

Describe your birthday?
I spent my birthday in another person's birthday party. I only decided to go there 1 hour before the event started maybe because boredom was nearly eating me up. While in the party, I decided that I want to celebrate it with m family and friends on the next day that's why I texted all of them right away.

What has been your favorite moment?
My favorite moment happened during March 31, 2007. I was asked a question that I never thought my mother would ask me in my entire life. It felt so good after hearing it. The feeling it gave me was way better than the feeling I got durin
g graduation. It is just ironic that that moment became also one source of the sadness I still feel up to this day. This is a different story. Moving on...

What's something you learned about yourself?

Favorite Night out?
I don't think I will ever forget the night I went out and the time I got home. That was the latest so far in my entire life. I got home at a time when the sun was nearly coming out. We attended this debut of our blockmate and went to a bar for the after party. The excuse line: What choice do I have if I was just going to hitch with my friend? But i was not reprimanded/ grounded/ scolded since they didn't really find out about this. People in the house do not look for me when I am out. I guess they trust me.
